Background:

Lembaga Gemawan is the result of a long going process of reflection of some students’ activist to contribute to the immediate needs toward social transformation. Lembaga Gemawan is founded to transform the idea of social transformation into actual social movement within its political & economical complexity. It is also developed to empower the local community as the silent majority of social-political-economical society.

Vision:
The strong “Pesisir” Community that gains the political dignity, acquires the economic self-reliant, and lives within local wisdoms and gender equity 
Mission:
1.   To develop the people social political power through the community based organization and local political party for the community toward peace & justice
2.   To fight for Local Government Reformation through anti corruption movement toward peace & justice
3.   To empower the kampung autonomy through local cultural transformation, local institution capacity building, revitalizations on local cultural identity and public advocacy for community based resources management
4.   To develop people economic power through CU empowerment, people cooperate programs and local commodity based market with domestic and regional access
5.   To develop women empowerment programs for gender equity toward peace & justice
6.  To develop a strong & professional non governmental organization

Background:
The Yayasan People, Resources, and Conservation Foundation - Indonesia (PRCF Indonesia) is a non- government, non-profit, and non-membership organization. The Foundation is concerned with conservation of natural resources and sustainable socioeconomic development, promoting the participation of local communities while enhancing their institutional capacities and revitalizing their cultural identity.
The PRCF Indonesia is a member of the PRCF Federation of independent non-governmental organizations linked in philosophy, goal, and mission statement. Other members of thi federation include, as for July 2005: PRCF Viet Nam, PRCF Cambodia, and PRCF Myanmar, and there are views of incorporating a PRCF Bhutan, PRCF Laos, and PRCF Yunnan within the next five-to-ten years. The PRCF (USA) provides advise, technical direction, and financial support to PRCF Federation members.
PRCF Indonesia appeared as an effort to, among other,

• search for solutions and contribute with alternatives for sustainable natural resources conservation;
• promote community awareness and care for natural resources protection and sustainable utilization;
• revitalize the cultural identities of local communities; and,
• support the process of community involvement in their own socioeconomic development.

The vision of PRCF Indonesia’s work is; a state of biodiversity conservation that supports ecosystem functions and enables a sustained form of resource utilization, promoted by self-reliant local communities who have attained stable socioeconomic conditions and maintained their cultural identities.
PRCF - Indonesia’s overall goal is imbedded within its Mission Statement:
“to strengthen local participation in the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem functions, through measures that address the protection and wise use of natural resources, and the socioeconomic development and cultural revitalization of affected communities”.
The Foundation maintains that the participation of local people will determine the success of nature conservation and community development programs. Local communities are therefore strongly encouraged to participate in all aspects of PRCF Indonesia projects; including surveys, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
The participatory emphasis of PRCF Indonesia, combined with the long-term experience of its personnel, enable the development and implementation of innovative and site-specific management strategies that involve, empower, and benefit local stakeholders on the one hand, and promote the conservation of biological resources on the other.

Yayasan Diantama adalah Lembaga swadaya masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyrakat. Berdiri tanggal 9 Desember 1987 di Pontianak Kalimantan Barat Dalam rangka mencapai tujuan ini YDT memberikan focus perhatian kepada 4 hal, sebagai berikut:

Latar Belakang
Pusat Pengembangan Sumberdaya Wanita atau PPSW didirikan pada tahun 1986 sebagai badan pelaksana dari Yayasan An-Nisa Indonesia. Namun sesuai dengan perkembangan sejak tahun 1998, lembaga swadaya masyarakat yang berkedudukan di Jakarta ini menjadi lembaga masyarakat yang mandiri dengan badan hokum PPSW.
Tujuan utama PPSW adalah pemberdayaan perempuan khususnya yang berada di strata social ekonomi terendah dalam masyarakat yang terkonsentrasi di daerah kumuh perkotaan, dan daerah pedesaan. PPSW memilih beberapa focus persoalan yang dihadapi masyarakat seperti persoalan ekonomi, kesehatan, dan pendidikan sebagai pintu masuk dalam pengorganisasian masyarakat khususnya kelompok-kelompok perempuan.
Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut PPSW melakukan berbagai kegiatan seperti memfasilitasi masyarakat melalui berbagai pelatihan dan lokakarya sesuai kebutuhan mereka, serta mengembangakan organisasi dan jaringan masyarakat local untuk mengadvokasikan kepentingan mereka. Selain itu PPSW juga melakukan penelitian, penerbitan , seminar dan lokakarya guna menunjang kegiatan yang dilakukan bersama masyarakat.
Visi
Pemberdayaan perempuan dan tranformasi social bagi status dan peran perempuan dalam masyarakat melalui peningkatan akses dan control perempuan terhadap sumberdaya yang ada dan dirinya, guna menciptakan tatanan masyrakat yang lebih egaliter.
Misi

• Peningkatan taraf hidup, pengetahuan, dan kemampuan perempuan di ti ngkat basis.
• Pengembangan kelembangan local bagi perempuan dan kepemimpinan perempuan.
• Pemasyarakatan konsep kesetaraan gender dalam semua tingkatan.

Telah bekerja di 20 Kabupaten di 6 Propinsi (DKI Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, Banten, Riau, Kalbar)
